A few months ago, I made the decision to start Animexplay, the largest online community for anime and playdates. Since its creation, we’ve amassed an impressive amount of data on anime playdates and other related topics. Animexplay is the first and only event calendar of its kind in the United States. It connects anime fans of all levels with each other to enjoy together a wide variety of events running from September to December. The event has been growing in popularity every year and will be taking place at New York’s Javits Center this year from September 26-29.

The organization was started in 2001 by a father and his daughter. ever since then, they have been providing a safe place for children to watch anime without fear of being ridiculed or embarrassed. Animexplay is one of the only organizations that provides this service.
